Blenheim Palace

The Oxfordshire UNESCO World Heritage Site of Blenheim Palace has added an all-new themed shopping experience to its Christmas programme this year.

The attraction, due to offer visitors a series of indoor and outdoor events and activities throughout the Christmas season, has confirmed that this year will be its biggest festive season to date.

Alongside the popular light trail which has featured in previous years, the interior of Blenheim will be transformed with magical decorations, along with the new shopping experience called Living Crafts for Christmas.

Running from 10th November to 2nd January, Christmas at Blenheim Palace will provide a host of festive fun with costumed entertainment, choirs and seasonal activities.

Crafts and gifts for all

Living Crafts for Christmas will take place from 15th to 18th November. Dozens of designer-makers from across the UK will be showcasing their contemporary crafts in Swiss-style wooden chalets within the Great Court.

The event will include a combination of scenic surroundings, stylish gifts, present ideas, and festive inspiration for the Christmas celebration.

As night falls the palace will once again be aglow with festive cheer as part of the Christmas at Blenheim Light Trail running from 23rd November to 1st January.

Visitors will be invited to step into an enchanting, illuminated winter wonderland as they walk through twinkling tunnels and between sparkling hedges to the Great Lake, before returning to the palace courtyard to enjoy hot drinks, roasting chestnuts and traditional carousel rides.

Inspired by Blenheim’s landscape, the light trail features dozens of glowing displays and illuminations as part of an hour-long discovery trail which has been specially designed for visitors of all ages to enjoy.

More details will be announced soon.
