AmaMagna

Golfers can now combine their passion for the game with a relaxing river cruise thanks to a unique new offering from AmaWaterways.

The company is giving passengers the chance to play on top rated courses in five different countries during a European voyage making its debut next year.

The AmaMagna will stop for rounds of golf in Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, the Czech Republic and Germany on its seven night Romantic Danube and Melodies of the Danube trips starting in May.

Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-owner of AmaWaterways, said: “Pairing luxury river cruising with golf gives travellers the incredible opportunity to play top-rated courses in five different countries in one seamless, memorable trip.”

Passengers participating in the programme will receive benefits including:

  •  One round at each course
  •  A dozen Titleist Pro V1 balls, a pitch repair tool, course guides and a leather shoe bag
  •  Private luxury Mercedes transfers between the ship and courses
  •  Club cleaning after each round

AmaMagna provides options for multi-generational groups or those that may have differing interests, with an avid golfer or two among them. She is nearly twice the width of traditional river cruise ships, but carries only 20 per cent more guests, allowing generous personal space with more than half of the 98 staterooms designated as suites.

Enticing on-board amenities include a sun deck with a large heated pool, relaxing whirlpool and pop-up sky bar and a water sports platform at the rear of the ship, where complimentary tours will be offered on the intimate Sundowner vessel.

Guests can also enjoy four unique dining venues and the expansive Zen Wellness Studio.
