With less than a month to go until the Group Leisure & Travel Show, we offer tips for getting the most out of a visit.

Plus, if you havent registered yet, you can get free entry at www.grouptravelshow.com/register.

Get there early

There is a free bacon butty for every GTO who gets to the show before 11am. Arriving promptly also means you can chat to the companies you want to, before they get busy.

Make a list

There will be more than 150 exhibitors at the show, so it’s helpful to make a list of the stands you want to visit the most. Visit the exhibitor section of www.grouptravelshow.com for the full list of exhibitors. Canvass opinion from your group members too – who would they like you to go and talk to?

Visitors arriving at the GLTS before 11am can claim a free bacon butty.

Prepare questions

Come armed with the right questions. Don’t just ask what’s included in a short break, for example, ask what’s not included. What do certain tour companies do about tipping? Are there any perks thrown in for drivers at certain attractions? Do companies offer fams? What’s the deal with accessibility? Could private talks be arranged at a venue?

Bring a bag

Most exhibitors will be handing out leaflets and brochures. You’ll get a show bag at the entrance but make sure you can comfortably carry things around with you by bringing a reusable bag or two – some clever people even opt for small carry-on cases with wheels.

Give yourself good time for the seminars

Four seminars will take place throughout the day, and sessions get very popular. If you’re really keen on seeing one, get to the theatre in good time. Plus, prepare a few questions for afterwards.

Keep up to date

This year the GLTS has its own blog, which is rich with info on different exhibitors and insight into the sort of themes and topics that you’ll be able to explore at the show. Read it at www.grouptravelshow.com/blog.

Bring a business card

If you’re interested in an exhibitor's offers, you’ll need to give them your details. Make this process quick and easy by bringing a business card with you.

The Group Leisure & Travel Show will take place at the NEC in Birmingham on Thursday 20th October. To get your free ticket now visit www.grouptravelshow.com/register.
