The Royal Collection recently announced a programme of exhibitions at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse to mark Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee next year.

In August and September 2012, Buckingham Palace will present Diamonds: A Jubilee Celebration, showing jewels used by British monarchs over the last 200 years. Also, The Queen’s Gallery within the palace will exhibit what claims to be the largest exhibition of Leonardo da Vinci’s anatomical drawings from the 4th May until the 7th October 2012.

The Queen: Sixty Photographs for Sixty Years will take place at The Drawings Gallery at Windsor Castle from the 4th February until January 2013; and in Scotland, The Queen’s Gallery at the Palace of Holyroodhouse will play host to Royal Treasures: A Diamond Jubilee Celebration from the 16th March to the 16th September 2012.
