Woburn Abbey extends season

Date Posted: 04/08/2015

Woburn Abbey and Gardens in Bedfordshire has extended its opening season until 1st November.

Groups visiting the stately home can take advantage of reduced prices for parties of 12 or more, joint tickets to Woburn Abbey and Bletchley Park – or Woburn Abbey and Gardens with Woburn Safari Park – and see a selection of exhibitions.

The Strictly Dresses exhibition, which runs at the abbey from 15th August to 1st November, will display 16 dresses from the popular BBC show Strictly Come Dancing.

Also running until the end of the season is the Peeling back the Years exhibition which looks at the Chinese wallpaper in Woburn Abbey.

Another Chinese influence on the stately home is explored in the Père David Deer: From Beijing to Woburn and Back display which will be on show in the Russell Room in the abbey throughout this year and next.

The exhibition celebrates the 30th anniversary of the return of Père David’s Deer to China and the continued collaboration between Woburn and China conservation projects.
