Wizard Week at NRM

Date Posted: 10/12/2010

York’s National Railway Museum is set to host Wizard Week over the February half-term, celebrating Hogwarts Castle - the steam locomotive from the popular Harry Potter films.

Children and family groups visiting the museum from the 19th to 27th February will be able to enjoy a host of activities and events, from steam rides behind the famous train, to owl displays and mystical performances.

Visitors can create lanterns similar to those carried by Hogwarts staff and students in the Harry Potter films, while younger group members can participate in a series of interactive storytelling sessions. The museum will also lead demonstrations of the magic behind how trains move in its Science Shows.

Coach parking is available for groups visiting the National Railway Museum.
