Winter cruising to south-east Asia, India and the south Pacific

Voyages to Antiquity has announced the launch of its first winter programme to south-east Asia, India and the south Pacific, featuring nine new itineraries from November 2012.

Aiming to combine the best of land and sea travel, group passengers are promised a full experience of the culture, history and archaeological treasures of the East. The cruise line hopes to bring its philosophy of cultural cruising to the Far East, and as such shore excursions are included on all sailings, with departures accompanied by lectures and guest speakers.

Highlights include a five-day tour of India’s Golden Triangle including the Taj Mahal; a two day visit from Bangkok to the temple complex at Angkor in Cambodia; the chance to explore the sights of Bangkok, Rangoon and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon); plus extended stays in Burma with the chance to visit Mandalay or the pagodas at Bagan.

The 2012-13 winter programme includes the following itineraries: Mumbai, India to Colombo, Sri Lanka (13th November 2012); Colombo, Sri Lanka to Singapore (24th November); Bangkok, Thaiand/Hong Kong (27th December); Hong Kong/Bali, Indonesia (11th January 2013); Singapore/Delhi, India (6th March).
