Date Posted: 02/11/2012

A theatrical adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s classic, The Wind in the Willows will run at West Yorkshire Playhouse from 24th November until 19th January.

The adaptation is by dramatist Alan Bennett, and was first produced by the National Theatre in 1990.

When inquisitive Mole happens upon the riverbank, gentlemanly Rat takes him under his wing and a wonderful friendship blooms.

Ratty introduces his friend to the world above ground; from the delights of the river to the sinister Wild Wood, and they meet dependable Badger and the exuberant Mr. Toad.

This lively festive show is performed by a talented ensemble of 16 actor-musicians, joined by a supporting cast of 20 young people auditioned from across Yorkshire.

West Yorkshire Playhouse offers group discounts for parties of ten or more, including a free ticket for the organiser.
