Date Posted: 14/12/2012

The Wigan Food and Drink Festival will return in the spring, running from 28th February until 10th March.

Group visitors can head to Greater Manchester to enjoy ten days of celebrating Wigan Borough’s food and drink industry.

The theme of the 2013 Wigan Food and Drink Festival has been announced as ‘Lancashire on a Plate’, and Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust promise a full programme of events.

Groups can look forward to cookery demonstrations, tasting sessions, and a variety of local goods on offer.

Experts are also on hand across the event; top names to have appeared in previous years include Antony Worrall Thompson, Aldo Zilli and Simon Rimmer.

Local support

Euromark, who specialise in food manufacturing marking and coding solutions, will now be the festival's principal partner in 2013.

Wigan’s famous Poole’s Pies, and curry producer Patak’s have also joined as sponsors.

Group travel organisers will find a detailed programme of events when they are announced in January.
