Wicksteed Park reveals new shows for 2015

Date Posted: 19/01/2015

Expanding upon its previous success, Wicksteed Park Pavilion continues its West-End style entertainment line-up with a new season of showings.

Situated within 147 acres of rolling parkland in Kettering, Northamptonshire, at the heart of the popular theme park, the Pavilion area of Wicksteed Park often plays host to a number of shows and scheduled events.

The Songs that Won the War, the selected summer showing throughout May and early June, will feature classic songs of the era, including Pack up Your Troubles, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and We’ll Meet Again

The show is supported by the Royal British Legion, and will feature the cast singing to a live band.

The latter half of this year will invite more seasonal showings, and throughout November and December the Pavilion will host Swinging into Christmas

Set in the golden age of swing, the show will pay homage to legends of the genre, including Frank Sinatra, and feature a mix of classic and festive hits such as Santa Baby, White Christmas, Fly me to the Moon and, of course, Jingle Bells.

The shows will be hosted in the Pavilion’s popular Edwardian suite. Recent refurbishments include new chandeliers, a state of the art lighting system and restoration of the hall’s original Edwardian features.
Special ticket offers include show admission along with lunch and afternoon tea, and free tickets for groups of varying sizes.
