West Country ‘Away Day’ visits the GLTT Show

Date Posted: 07/09/2011

Two top West Country tour companies are making a beeline to one of the UK’s best known and long established travel trade shows.

Elgar Coaches from Worcester and Rover European Travel from Stroud will each be taking a coach load of group travel organisers to the 2011 Group Leisure and Travel Trade Show, which takes place in Hall 11 of Birmingham NEC on Wednesday 21st September and Thursday 22nd September.

The annual exhibition is a must-attend set piece for planners of tours and excursions. The two tour companies will be hosting GTOs on a special ‘Away Day’ to the show, where they will have the chance to meet the cream of the UK’s top attractions, destinations, and hotels.

Coordinated by tourism specialists, Steve Reed Tourism Ltd from Corbridge in Northumberland, both Elgar Coaches and Rover European Travel will visit some top hotels during their Away Days, in addition to taking in a popular group attraction.

Guests of Rover European will enjoy drinks at the Chesford Grange and dinner at the Stratford Manor Hotels in Stratford-on-Avon (part of the QHotels chain), in addition to a refreshment stop and tour at the Coventry Transport Museum prior to their arrival at the NEC. Elgar Coaches will visit the Roman Way Hotel in Cannock, part of the Oyster Hotel group, in addition to enjoying a mini familiarisation trip to Warwick Castle.

For group organisers planning to visit the GLTT, there are a number of coach routes with selected pick-up points throughout the UK to transport visitors to the NEC.
