Date Posted: 23/07/2015

Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival returns this October, offering groups an extensive programme of exhibitions, installations, live performances, film screenings and workshops.

The festival, in partnership with NORTH - a new initiative aiming to promote contemporary art in the north of England – will take place from Friday 2nd October to Saturday 31st October.

NORTH, directed by lead curator, William Lunn, will present several visual arts exhibitions including the headline show, The Dream of Modern Living? – Contemporary Artists Explore IKEA, which will bring together local and international artists’ responses to the furniture store.

The festival programme will also include shows by raconteur Mik Artistic, physical theatre company Timesis, and a haunted silent disco.

A number of venues and public spaces across Warrington will support the event and will become festival hubs, including Pyramid & Parr Hall and Warrington Museum and Art Gallery.

A full programme will be announced in the coming months.
