Waddesdon extends its welcome to groups

Date Posted: 25/01/2011

Groups planning a visit to Waddesdon Manor this year will have the chance to enjoy a number of new exhibitions and events.

Throughout the 2011 season, Waddesdon will be showcasing its collection of 18th century books and bindings, along with a new exhibition on Italian renaissance ceramics, much of which will be on display for the first time. Continuing its contemporary programme, a piece entitled Mountain by Anish Kapoor will be on display in the Aviary, with Andy Warhol portrait series Ten Jews of the 20th Century exhibited in the Coach House.

Following the success of last year’s event, Waddesdon will be hosting a Tulip Festival from the 16th April, and visiting groups can enjoy the dazzling array of blooms in the Parterre.

Waddesdon Manor offers a variety of benefits for visiting groups, including discounted entry to the house and gardens, and the opportunity to book exclusive guided tours before the house is open to the public. The option of a guided tour of either the ground floor, first floor, or Bachelors Wing, will be added to the range of walks and tours offered to groups.
