Upgrades planned for Glasgow Science Centre’s planetarium

Date Posted: 05/06/2015

Glasgow Science Centre is set to enhance the facilities at its planetarium in the summer of 2015.

This summer, Glasgow Science Centre’s planetarium, will undergo improvements to offer visitors a greater exploration of the universe.

The new planetarium will feature a state of the art full-dome digital system with 360 degree views and 3D shows allowing audiences to see any known point in the universe.

Displayed across the planetarium’s 15 metre hemispherical dome, the live expert led shows and full-dome films include Google’s Back to the Moon for Good narrated by Tim Allen – the voice of Buzz Lightyear from Disney’s Toy Story.

The planetarium at Glasgow Science Centre will close on 24th June and is expected to reopen in late summer. Group trips to Glasgow Science Centre can get discounted admission and special rates for parties or 10 or more.
