Thorpe Park introduces its first on-site accommodation

Date Posted: 04/11/2012

New hotel, the Crash Pad, opening at Thorpe Park in March 2013, will reportedly be the world’s first fully-serviced portable hotel.

Somewhere for group visitors to stay

The theme park has teamed up with Snoozebox Ltd., innovators in temporary accommodation, to offer groups somewhere to stay after a day out on the rides.

Group travel organisers will find rooms sleeping up to four people, and en-suite showers and a flat screen TV. There is also an on-site reception and a housekeeping team.

Overnight guests can enjoy a meal at Thorpe Park’s in-house bar, as well as entertainment including comedy shows and club nights in the evening.

A short break tourist destination

Mike Vallis, divisional director of Thorpe Park said: “We are now excited at the next stage of the park’s development – our transformation into a short break tourist destination.”

Bookings for The Crash Pad open in December.
