James Graham’s political drama This House will transfer to the Garrick Theatre in London this November, following a run at Chichester’s Minerva Theatre.
Having originally played two sell-out seasons at the National Theatre, This House will open at the Garrick Theatre on 19th November and run until 25th February 2017.
The cast will be confirmed later this year.
Synopsis
This House is set in 1974, and focuses on an economic crisis and a hung parliament in the UK. The play is set in Westminster, audiences will see politics stripped down to the practical realities of those MPs behind the scenes.
The play is about a culture hostile to cooperation, and focuses on a period when votes are won or lost by one; when there are fist fights in the bars; and when sick MPs are carried through the lobby to register their vote.

This House is written by James Graham whose recent work for the Donmar Warehouse includes The Vote, which was broadcast live on election night, and Privacy, which will open this summer at the Public Theatre in New York; and Coalition for Channel 4.
Headlong artistic director Jeremy Herrin will direct This House; his previous work includes South Downs, Uncle Vanya and Another Country at Chichester.
Rae Smith will design the set, lighting will be by Paule Constable, sound design will be by Ian Dickinson, and Scott Ambler will organise the choreography.
This House is two hours and 55 minutes long including the interval. It will run at Chichester’s Minerva Theatre between 23rd September and 29th October before heading back to London.
