Beginning its inaugural season this August from New Orleans, authentic paddlewheeler Queen of the Mississippi operated by small-ship specialist American Cruise Lines, will begin its 2013 sailings from the 9th February.

Group passengers can join a variety of themed cruises, including the Civil War and Mark Twain, plus musical and holiday-themed cruises. A river historian will also be aboard each cruise, and guests can participate in onboard lectures.

Operating over the entire Mississippi river system, including the Ohio and Cumberland Rivers, the Queen of the Mississippi offers capacity for 150-passengers.
