The new Dreamland, Margate

Date Posted: 03/06/2015

Groups will soon be able to visit the newly restored Dreamland pleasure park in Kent.

Following an 11 year campaign and an £18 million funding package from local benefactors, the newly renovated Dreamland, Margate will open its doors to visitors on the 19th June.

Under the vision of award winning designer Wayne Hemingway MBE and family members Geraldine and Jack at HemingwayDesign, Dreamland has been reinvented as a contemporary attraction with a vintage feel.

Dreamland, Margate will offer a variety of activities for visitors including over 17 rides for thrill seekers, one of which is Britain’s oldest rollercoaster – the fully restored 1920s Grade II listed Scenic Railway.

Groups can also visit the Dreamland Pleasure Gardens to watch a Punch and Judy puppet show and explore the wall of death.

There will be a number of stalls serving traditional seaside food such as fish and chips and candy floss.
