Date Posted: 10/09/2012

The Dukes has announced its return to Williamson Park, Lancashire next summer, presenting Robin Hood as part of its acclaimed outdoor walkabout theatre season.

The park boasts an ideal setting for the production, with its leafy woods and grand castle in the Ashton Memorial.

A reputation for walkabout theatre

The Dukes theatre company has been producing outdoor walkabout theatre productions for 25 years, billed as the largest of their kind in the UK.

Having last performed a version of Robin Hood in 1993, next year’s production has been written by Kevin Dyer.

Kevin was previously nominated for the Writers Guild of Great Britain Best Theatre Play Award for Merlin and The Legend of King Arthur which the Dukes produced outdoors in 2011.

Group booking information

The production will play from 5th July to 10th August.

Tickets are now on sale, with early bird rates available for group travel organisers until the end of January.
