The Spa Bridlington has released details of its fourth annual theatre season this summer, running for eight weeks across four different venues.
The shows include At The Movies: A Life in Pictures, which tells the story of an elderly actress’s career.
The production begins as she receives a lifetime achievement award at a prestigious award ceremony before the show unfolds to showcase the journey of her life through the eyes of her younger self.
The production will feature new arrangements, new compositions and a live band throughout.
It will play every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening from the 16th July until September at the Spa Bridlington itself.
As part of the summer season, the theatre will also present three shows on location in a series called When Ivor Met.
Showings will take place every Friday from 15th July at Sewery Hall, every Sunday from 17th July at Burton Agnes Hall and every Saturday from 23rd July at Burton Constable Hall.
Each show features a fictitious visit that occurs at a dinner party set in the 1930s with performer and composer, Ivor Novello.
The fictitious visitors will vary depending on the location. It will be aviator Amy Johnson at Sewerby Hall and Gardens, Queen Mary at Burton Constable Hall and Challenge Cup winner captain Tom Wickham-Boynton at Burton Agnes Hall.
The season will wrap up with a celebratory cabaret in association with the Bridlington Arts Festival.

Bridlington Arts Festival will turn 30 this year and will feature photo workshops and exhibitions, a 30th anniversary gala concert and a civic service at the Priory Church in Bridlington.
There will also be a night of dance and musical theatre which will celebrate well known artists such as David Bowie and Matthew Bourne.

The Spa Bridlington is a landmark building that was first built along the seafront in 1816. The Spa theatre was rebuilt in 1907 after a fire destroyed the original, and the Royal Hall was first built in 1926.
The Spa has remained popular for public performances, concerts, theatre, opera and public dances since then, and undertook a full refurbishment in 2005.
