Two of Strictly Come Dancing’s most famous faces will co-present the Group Leisure Awards this year at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Wednesday 19th October.
Anton Du Beke will take to the stage with Erin Boag to introduce and comment on Britain’s most prestigious group travel awards evening.
The coveted awards recognise the best suppliers, attractions and destinations and includes the Group Travel Organiser of the Year Award, which is regarded as the pinnacle of recognition for the country’s top GTOs.
The popular TV duo will also treat audiences to a ballroom dancing demonstration on the evening, giving some lucky audience members the chance to join them – further announcements about this will feature in forthcoming Group Leisure magazines with details of how readers can participate.
Professional partners since 1997, Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag are one of Britain’s most widely recognized and best loved ballroom dancing couples.
Back in 2004 they were chosen to star in the first series of the BBC1 television show Strictly Come Dancing. Since then they have become household names, making regular television appearances, headlining high profile events and taking their act on tour.
“The Group Leisure Awards will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2016 and we’re excited that the stars of Strictly will be there to celebrate this important milestone with us,” explained Group Leisure editor Sarah Holt. “The guests who join us on the night will be just a shuffle away from the dancers that the nation watches on one of television’s most popular programmes.”
Voting and nominations for this year’s awards will open in May. Tickets and table bookings for the dinner and ceremony are now available and include a drinks reception, delicious dinner with wine, live music and entertainment – plus the ceremony itself.
