St James%E2%80%99s Hotel And Club Launches Afternoon Tea Inspired By Board Games %7C Group Travel News

This month, St James’s Hotel and Club is launching It’s All In The Game, a board game afternoon tea themed around old favourite games such as Snakes & Ladders, backgammon and chess.

The concept has been designed by executive head chef William Drabble of the in-house Michelin star restaurant, Seven Park Place.

The theme is based around original board games such as Monopoly, Scrabble, Dominoes and Ludo – all of which are also available to play at the hotel.

The tea items include cake dice, edible scrabble letters, chocolate chess pieces, shortbread dominoes and chocolate Monopoly hats.

The idea is to get people to re-connect with friends and family – guests are encouraged to log off the internet and instead spend a long afternoon indulging in afternoon treats and board games.

The hotel also offers private dining and events for groups, all created with William Drabble who creates Michelin-starred dining experiences combining his love for food and culinary skills.

A lunch and dinner package for example includes venue hire, a three course seated lunch or dinner by Drabble, half a bottle of wine per person, tea and coffee and still or sparkling water. Specially created menus can also be requested.
