Spring blooms at Hever Castle

Date Posted: 04/12/2011

Groups are invited to enjoy the Snowdrop Trail at Kent’s Hever Castle from the 11th to 19th February.

The trail runs through the grounds of the castle and offers the opportunity to make the most of the early blossoms of camellia and quince, and view the snowdrop bulbs starting to emerge after their winter dormancy.

Visiting groups embarking on the Snowdrop Trail can discover interesting facts about this symbolic flower, such as the origins of its name, its preferred habitat plus the number of different species and varieties. Young visitors can also join the Lady of the Wildwood to hear stories of spring.
