Spooky goings-on in Hampshire this autumn

Date Posted: 07/09/2012

Group travel organisers visiting Beaulieu this autumn will find some Halloween-themed activities on offer.

During the October half-term, Beaulieu – reputedly one of Britain’s most haunted places – will play host to a seasonal selection of spooky goings on.

Hear scary stories from the costumed guides in Palace House, where activities for children include taking a lucky dip in the ‘Witches' Cauldron’ or having a gruesome face painting.

Visitors to the museum can follow the Halloween trail, and see some of the 250 vehicles on show.

Fireworks display

Beaulieu’s annual Fireworks Spectacular will be taking place on Saturday 27th October. The explosive and dynamic display will this year be set to a superheroes theme.

Famous vehicles on display from film and TV

The museum’s BOND IN MOTION exhibition displays 50 of the most iconic vehicles from the James Bond films.

The ‘On Screen Cars’ section houses vehicle stars from TV and film, including Mr Bean’s lime green Mini, Del Boy’s van and Harry Potter’s ‘flying’ Ford Anglia, used in the filming of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Groups can also visit the World of Top Gear to see cars from some of the programme’s most ambitious challenges, hear the stories behind them, and enjoy clips of some of the best Top Gear moments.
