Shugborough’s spooktacular Halloween setting

Date Posted: 16/08/2011

The Shugborough Estate in Staffordshire will once again be transformed into a spooktacular mansion setting for this year’s Halloween festivities on the 29th October.

Promising an evening of family-friendly Halloween fun, the evening will feature ghost train rides, a fun fair, and garden ghost tours, in addition to a disco, trick or treat, apple bobbing and an owl display.

Visiting groups will have the chance to enjoy the mansion and servants' quarters of the working historic estate, and learn of its rumoured army of ghosts, including a housekeeper, and Lady Anson - who leaves an imprint on the bed each day.

Groups can also enjoy an autumnal food offering of hot punch and a hog roast.
