September dates confirmed for Althorp Food and Drink Festival

Date Posted: 02/05/2016

The Althorp Food and Drink Festival, located at the Althorp Estate in Northamptonshire, will take place this autumn on 24th and 25th September.

The festival is designed to celebrate quality food and drink producers and suppliers in Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties.

The Althorp Estate has been held by the aristocratic Spencer family for more than 500 years, and is known for being the home of the late Princess Diana before her marriage to Charles, Prince of Wales.

Groups who are planning to visit the festival will be able to enjoy a wide range of locally sourced food and drink against the backdrop of the historic house and its grounds.

The Althorp Food and Drink Festival encompasses various spaces within Althorp House, as well as the Grade I listed stables, courtyard, deer park, and outdoor portico.

Visitors will have the chance to enjoy a variety of demonstrations, masterclasses and talks from leading professionals throughout the festival.

They will also get to learn about the craft, diversity and culture of food and drink.

This event is geared towards adults and children. A mix of live entertainment, activities for children, an array of food and drink talks from experts and cookery writers, along with an abundance of tasting opportunities have been confirmed.

Tickets will go on sale later this spring.
