Sadler’s Wells unveils spring season

Sadler’s Wells, London has unveiled its spring season, featuring the tenth anniversary of London’s Flamenco Festival, the National Ballet of Canada’s UK premiere, and Sadler’s Wells Family Weekend.

Now on sale, spring season highlights include:

Anjin: The Shogun and the English Samurai, 31st January 9th February: This UK premiere reveals an epic tale of friendship, honour, love and sacrifice, based around English maritime pilot William Adams, who is believed to be the first Englishman to have reached Japan.

Ballet Revolución, 6th - 23rd March: Following a sell-out run last year, Ballet Revolución returns for a three-week run, promising an explosive fusion of ballet, contemporary dance and hip hop.

Flamenco Festival London, 15th - 17th March: Celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2013, this annual season of flamenco dance and music will feature eight productions plus special performances and additional events.

Saddler’s Wells Family Weekend, 29th - 30th March: This annual two-day festival of activities and performances for families includes a new version of the Brothers Grimm fairytale, Rapunzel, written by poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy.

The National Ballet of Canada’s Romeo and Juliet, 17th - 21st April: Making its first London appearance in 26 years, the National Ballet of Canada presents its new production of Romeo and Juliet.

ZooNation’s Some Like it Hip Hop, 3rd May - 30th June: Returning to the Peacock Theatre this summer, this hit production combines hip hop, comedy and physical theatre with sensational dancing and a clever storyline.

International Festival of Hip Hop Dance Theatre, 4th - 6th May: 2013 marks the tenth anniversary of Breakin’ Convention, Sadler’s Wells annual three-day festival of hip hop theatre, promising performances from some of the world’s greatest poppers, lockers, and house dancers, plus workshops and demonstrations.
