Date Posted: 22/10/2011

The British Music Experience in London’s O2 Arena is to host an exhibition of vintage and rare photographs of iconic Gibson and Epiphone guitarists, running from the 7th November to 31st January.

The exhibition is a collaboration between Gibson Guitar and 30 of the world’s most respected rock photographers, including Baron Wolman, Neal Preston, Mick Rock, Bob Gruen, Ross Halfin, David Redfern and the late Jim Marshall. Gibson Through The Lens comes to London following successful presentations in Berlin, Shanghai, Tokyo, Sydney and Los Angeles.

Promoted as an opportunity to witness a host of iconic pictures that symbolise and represent the heart and soul of Gibson Guitar through the ages, the exhibition comprises 60 prints signed by the photographer featuring a who’s who of rock royalty, including Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, B.B King, Carl Perkins, Elvis, Bob Dylan, Sir Paul McCartney, Slash, Dave Grohl, Kurt Cobain, Lenny Kravitz, Jon Bon Jovi, Jack White, and Noel Gallagher.

Groups visiting the British Music Experience to view the exhibition will have the chance to play guitars and drums in the Gibson Interactive Studio, and see Noel Gallagher’s Epiphone Union Jack guitar and Marc Bolan’s Gibson Flying V guitar. Parties of ten plus are entitled to discounted admission rates, with free coach parking and familiarisation visits.
