Chart-topping, indie rock outfit Razorlight has been announced as the second act to play the Epsom Live! series of music nights at Epsom Downs Racecourse this summer. The band will be performing their greatest hits live after an evening of horse racing on Thursday 19th July.

Formed in London back in 2002; lead singer Johnny Borrell and the band have gone on to sell four million albums, performing to sold out arena tours, headlining festivals and appearing on the front cover of magazines from NME to Vogue.

The band’s debut album, Up All Night reached number three in the UK Album Chart, but it was Razorlight’s 2006 single America which turned the band into an international phenomenon, going straight to number one and securing two nominations to the BRIT Awards in 2007.

Rupert Trevelyan, managing director for Epsom Downs Racecourse commented: “Following our recent announcement that Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons will be kick starting our summer music nights we are delighted to add Razorlight to the line-up. Our racing music nights have proved extremely popular over the years and this year we are offering a cross section of acts to appeal to all musical tastes.”

The Queen’s Stand and Duchess’s Stand are open as one enclosure for Epsom Live! with tickets costing £32 in advance which includes both the racing and live concert. A range of discounts and packages are available including the launch of the Epsom Extra package, which includes entrance, the race card, £10 worth of betting Tote vouchers, a wrap and drink at the cost of £42, available until midnight on the Tuesday before the first three Epsom Live! nights.
