Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed features and amenities for its 16th vessel, Norwegian Bliss, which will sail to Alaska and the Caribbean, with select voyages to the Mexican Riviera, beginning in June 2018.

The vessel is currently being built at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, and is scheduled for delivery in spring 2018.

About the ship

Norwegian Bliss will feature what is thought to be the largest race track at sea at nearly 1,000 feet.

The two-level electric car race track will accommodate novice, intermediate and advanced drivers with four speed settings, reaching up to 30 miles per hour and a special “turbo boost” available on each lap.

The cars will also run silent, so as not to disturb those seeking to enjoy a serene experience on-board.

In addition, guests on the ship will be able to test their agility at the open-air laser tag course, themed as an abandoned space station.

Visitors aboard Norwegian Bliss can also make use of the ship’s expansive pool and sundeck featuring two spacious pools and six infinity hot tubs that scale the side of the ship.

In addition, the ship’s Aqua Park will include two multi-storey waterslides, while the high-speed Ocean Loops free-fall slide will feature two loops – one that extends out over the side of the ship and a second see-through loop that stretches down to the deck below.

Itineraries

During her inaugural summer season, Norwegian Bliss will sail weekly seven-day Alaska cruises each Saturday from Pier 66 in Seattle.

The ship’s itinerary will feature calls in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Victoria, British Columbia, along with scenic glacier cruising.

Her inaugural winter season will begin in November 2018, sailing seven-day Easter Caribbean cruises each Saturday from PortMiami, featuring calls in St Thomas, US Virgin Islands, Tortola, British Virgin Islands and Nassau, Bahamas.
