Portsmouth Historic Dockyard hosts a Victorian Festival of Christmas

Date Posted: 03/09/2015

Portsmouth Historic Dockyard’s annual Victorian Festival of Christmas will be held between 27th to 29th November.

A new magical Christmas maze, positioned next to HMS Victory, will be the key feature of the event.

The dockyard will be home to snow-covered streets, and Victorian characters and performers will provide entertainment throughout the weekend.

Strolling through the snowy historic dockyard site and spreading festive cheer will be a Victorian Father Christmas, dressed in traditional green colours.

The market will boast around 150 traders selling original gifts, crafts, jewellery and refreshments.

Group bookings for the Victorian Festival of Christmas

Groups of 15 people or more people will receive a discount to the festival when booking in advance.

Tickets to the event include entry to the dockyard’s other attractions including the Mary Rose, HMS Warrior 1860, HMS Victory and the newly-opened World War One Gallipoli survivor HMS M.33
