Poole Quay Experience

Date Posted: 17/03/2011

Poole Museum, Blue Line Cruises, and Poole Pottery have teamed up to offer groups the Poole Quay Experience.

Lasting for approximately three hours, this new excursion for groups begins at Poole Quay. Group members will be guided along the quay to Poole Museum, where they can learn the story of notorious pirate Harry Paye, and gain insight to the area’s maritime heritage.

Groups will then join one of Blue Line Cruises vessels for a one-hour voyage through Poole Harbour, which offers views of Brownsea Island and Brownsea Castle, the famous houses at Sandbanks, Shell & Studland Bay, and the Old Harry Rocks, along with onboard commentary from the captain.

The experience ends at Poole Pottery, where groups can enjoy a personal demonstration of hand-throwing and pottery making, as well as time to browse the shop or indulge in a bite to eat in the cafe.

Coach parties can disembark at the central drop-off point on Poole Quay, and free coach parking is available.
