Petworth Park launches antiques fair

Date Posted: 07/02/2015

A new antiques fair will take place in the grounds of Petworth House between 8th and 10th May.

A marquee will be set up in the 700 acre deer park of this National Trust property in West Sussex.

Antiques and fine art dealers from around the country will showcase everything from fine furniture and oriental rugs to contemporary paintings at the event.

Some pieces of jewellery and sculpture are expected to make thousands of pounds on the day.

For visitors who don’t have lots of money to spend on antiques, tickets to the event include entry to Petworth House.

This Grade 1 listed mansion dates back to the 17th century and has paintings by Turner and Van Dyck on its walls.
