Orient Express offers new journeys

Date Posted: 27/10/2012

Next year will see the British Pullman and Northern Belle taking groups in style and comfort on a number of new interesting group day trips across Great Britain from Orient Express.

New to next year’s Northern Belle schedule are some family-focused journeys for group travel organisers to consider. A visit to Chester Zoo in May and November from a number of departure points provides a day out for animal lovers who will be taken behind-the-scenes for a closer look.

Trips to the world of Harry Potter

Budding wizards will be kept content on a journey to the Warner Brothers Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter in August and October.

After brunch is served onboard, you will disembark for a behind-the-scenes walking tour of the studio and an opportunity to explore the Harry Potter sets, props and costumes used and worn by the star cast throughout the many films.

Journeys on the British Pullman

On 17th July, the British Pullman will be whisking groups off from London Victoria on a Royal day out to Sandringham House in Norfolk, home to the last four generations of sovereigns.

After brunch, you will arrive at the estate and spend the day exploring the residence of Her Majesty, including a walk through the famous gardens before getting back on board for dinner served with champagne and wine.

And for those who love to be by the coast, a journey to Bournemouth is available on either 7th June or 20th September from London Victoria.

A rare behind-the-scenes opportunity

In 2013, and for the first time ever, steam enthusiasts will be given the rare opportunity to go behind-the-scenes to view the locomotive being prepared before the signature Golden Age of Travel steam-hauled lunches for a £500 supplement.

Prices for the journeys above start at £340 before any potential group discount which are sometimes possible for parties of 16 or more people.
