Opera tours of Valencia

Date Posted: 03/10/2012

Valencia DMC can now arrange opera tours for special interest groups; visiting Valencia, Madrid and Seville, and attending performances in each of these Spanish cities.

Valencia has become an increasingly popular destination for opera lovers since the opening of the Palau de les Arts seven years ago, and these new tours will immerse visiting groups in the operatic tradition.

The opera tours have been made possible by the AVE high-speed rail links, connecting Valencia-Madrid (one hour, 35 minutes), Madrid-Seville (two hours, 30 minutes) and Valencia-Seville (three hours, 50 minutes).

Valencia’s 2012-13 opera season

If you’re arranging a group holiday to Valencia next year, why not include a visit to the opera as part of your itinerary?

The recently announced 2012-13 season at Valencia’s opera house pays homage to Giuseppe Verdi, celebrating the bicentenary of the composer’s birth with some of his most famous operas.

Next year’s highlights include Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia, and Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, plus performances of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and Puccini’s La Boheme.
