One night only - a celebration of British musical theatre

London’s Novello Theatre will host a celebration of British musical theatre past, present and future on the 14th October.

The Gala Concert will commemorate the 20th anniversary of Mercury Musical Developments (MMD), and will welcome performances from a variety of musical theatre luminaries.

Theatre stars perform new songs

Willy Russell, Charles Hart and Stiles & Drewe, together with a number of emerging writers will introduce new songs at this special event.

These songs will be performed by theatre stars including Janie Dee, Sally Anne Triplett (pictured), Kerry Ellis, David Bedella, Haydn Gwynne, Paul Kaye and Jenna Russell.

A celebration of British shows

Audiences can look forward to songs from Our Day Out, The Buskers Opera, One Man, Two Guvnors, Matilda, Billy, and Soapdish, plus other shows by MMD members.

MMD is a registered charity dedicated to the craft of writing books, music and lyrics for musical theatre.
