The Maharajas’ Express is introducing a new seven-night journey this October. The Royal Sojourn aims to offer groups the chance to discover the fascinating heritage, architecture and cultural mix of imperial India.

Departing from and arriving back into New Delhi, The Royal Sojourn will reportedly include some experiences and destinations previously inaccessible by a luxury train. New highlights are set to include the city of Kota, with visits to the 13th century Garh Palace, one of the largest forts in the state; a boat cruise on the Chambal river; and a Royal dinner at the Umed Bhawan Palace.

First unveiled last year, the Maharajas’ Express boasts two deluxe cabins, 18 junior suites, four suites and one-carriage Grand Presidential Suite; in addition to two fine-dining restaurants and two bars.

2012 departure dates for The Royal Sojourn include the 14th January, 11th February, 10th March, 7th April, 20th October, 17th November, and 15th December.
