New jukebox musical tour plays regional theatres

From the writers, producers, creators, and director of Dreamboats and Petticoats, new 60s musical Save the Last Dance for Me will tour the country from January through to June.

The tale follows two sisters who embark on a seaside holiday for the first time without their parents. Full of freedom and high spirits, they meet a handsome American who invites them to a dance at the local U.S. Air Force base. However young love and holiday romance is never simple, and the sisters soon realise that while the world around them is still watching itself in black and white, life and love can be much more colourful.

Commencing its UK tour at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley on 9th January, additional dates include Bristol Hippodrome (6th to 12th February); Aylesbury Waterside Theatre (13th to 18th February); Opera House, Manchester (27th February to 3rd March); Liverpool’s Empire Theatre (26th to 31st March); Milton Keynes Theatre (9th to 14th April); New Theatre, Hull (23rd to 28th April); Sunderland Empire Theatre (14th to 19th May); Blackpool Grand Theatre (18th to 23rd June); and Northampton’s Derngate Theatre (25th to 30th June).
