New cast and Broadway previews for War Horse

Date Posted: 28/03/2011

The West End smash hit play War Horse welcomes 13 new cast members into its London company, to coincide with the show’s recent and well-received previews on Broadway. Amongst others, Patrick Robinson and Nichola Stephenson will join the puppets and puppeteers on stage at the New London Theatre.

Best known for her television roles in BBC productions Holby City and Clocking Off, Nicola Stephenson joins the cast as Rose Narracott, Albert’s mother. With an extensive theatre career, Patrick Robinson will play German soldier Friedrich Muller.

Based on the novel by former Britain’s Children’s Laureate Michael Morpurgo, War Horse takes place at the outbreak of World War One. Joey, beloved horse of young Albert, is sold to the cavalry and shipped to France. He’s soon caught up in enemy fire, but Albert cannot forget Joey and, still not old enough to enlist, he embarks on a mission to the trenches to find him.

Groups of ten or more people booking to see War Horse can take advantage of discounted rates on performances from Monday to Thursday. GTOs are advised to contact their preferred ticketing agent.
