New UK tour of Breakfast at Tiffany’s

A stage production of Breakfast at Tiffany’s will embark on a tour of UK and Ireland in March 2016.

Truman Capote’s famous story of Holly Golightly has been adapted for the stage and will be taken on a tour of the UK and Ireland from March next year.

The reworking of the novella into a musical has been done by Pulitzer Prize and Olivier Award-winning playwright Richard Greenberg.

The production will showcase Capote’s classic tale as you know it – following the life of Fred, a young writer, after he meets wannabe rich girl Holly and her no-name cat and falls in love with her.

On the music front, the show will feature a mixture of songs from the 1960s alongside new numbers by Grant Odling, who worked on One Man, Two Guvnors.

The role of Holly will be played by pop star Pixie Lott and the tour will touchdown at eight venues across the UK, including Leicester Curve, Salford Lowry and Southampton’s Mayflower.

In June, the musical will transfer to the West End for a four month stint at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
