National tour for The King And I

A national tour of Rodgers and Hammerstein musical The King And I will visit theatres across the UK from the 14th December until May.

Leicester Curve’s acclaimed production will be led by Ramon Tikaram as The King, and Josefina Gabrielle, who will play the role of Anna. The lavish production featuring a ten-piece orchestra tells the story of the British governess brought to the court of Siam to tutor the King’s many children. The musical score features well-known hits including Shall We Dance, I Whistle A Happy Tune, and Getting To Know You.

Opening at Edinburgh Festival Theatre, tour dates include Sheffield Lyceum (17th to 21st January); Newcastle Theatre Royal (24th to 28th January); New Theatre Oxford (14th to 18th February); The Lowry, Salford (21st to 25th February); Nottingham Theatre Royal (28th February to 3rd March); Southampton Mayflower (20th to 24th March); Liverpool Empire Theatre (3rd to 7th April); New Victoria Theatre, Woking (24th to 28th April); Birmingham Hippodrome (1st to 5th May); and Bradford Alhambra (15th to 19th May); before closing in Dublin on 26th May.
