Mack and Mabel UK tour

Date Posted: 03/02/2015

The Broadway classic Mack and Mabel will return to UK stages this July.

A musical comedy inspired by the true romance between Hollywood director Mack Sennet and the woman who would eventually become his star, Mabel Normand, the play originally received eight Tony Award nominations when it first opened on Broadway in 1974.

The new production will feature Michael Ball starring in the lead role as Mack Sennett. His other theatre credits include title roles in Les Misérables and The Phantom of the Opera.

Running at Chichester Festival Theatre from 13th July to 5th September, the play will then tour the length and breadth of Britain, from 1st October until 6th December.

The tour will call in at a number of regional stages, including Manchester’s Opera House, Plymouth’s Theatre Royal, Edinburgh’s Playhouse and Cardiff’s Millennium Centre.
