London Mime Festival planned for 2016

From 9th January until 6th February, the London International Mime festival will take place in various locations all over the city.

Directed by Helen Lannaghan and Joseph Seelig, the festival will showcase contemporary visual theatre, cutting edge circus-theatre, animation, puppetry, mask, physical and object theatre.

112 performances by 18 different companies will take place at venues such as the Barbican, The Peacock, Central Saint Martin’s Platform Theatre and others.

The opening show called Marcel will be performed  at Shaw Theatre. Marcel tells the story of two distinguished performers revisiting their early days as artists  whilst dealing with the idea of ageing.

Workshops, films and artists’ talks will also take place throughout the festival.
