London Eye equivalent planned for Brighton

Date Posted: 07/04/2015

A new observation tower in Brighton will allow groups to see the south coast from the sky.

The Brighton i360 should become the world’s tallest moving observation experience and the highest UK viewing tower outside of London when it opens in the summer of 2016.

Visitors will slowly ascend 162 metres in a glass viewing pod before taking in 360 degree views of the Sussex coastline and the surrounding areas including Bexhill-on-Sea and Chichester.

The Brighton i360 pod has a 200 visitor capacity, air conditioning and heating, bench seating and full wheelchair accessibility.

Entry to the attraction includes a complimentary hand held multi-media tour which will not only explain how the tower was built but will also outline the history of Brighton and Sussex. There will also be a host on board the pod who will be able to assist guests and answer any questions.

Outside the Brighton i360 they’ll be a beach building, which will have a range of facilities for group visitors including a shop, an exhibition, a children’s play area and hospitality rooms for 10 to 800 people.

There are a range of benefits for pre-booked group visitors including priority entry, discounts and free group places.
