Live pirate experience to open in February

Date Posted: 08/12/2014

Get ready to set sail in February when the new Pirate’s Quest visitor experience opens in Newquay.

Groups will embark on a swashbuckling voyage through Cornwall's pirate past at the renovated attraction (previously Buccaneer’s Bay) packed with legends, story-telling and adventure.

The hour-long adventure promises a London Dungeon-style live walk-through experience, which transports visitors 300 years back in time, to the ‘golden age’ of piracy.

Meet the infamous Captain Calico Jack, who with the help of other legendary rogues, will act as a guide through the mystical caves and murky streets of 18th century Cornwall.

For those visitors looking for an extra thrill, Pirate's Quest also contains a scare section - The Lost Land of Lyonesse.

Junior pirates can pick up a Treasure Map to help them find hidden clues and claim pirate booty.

Pirate's Quest will also be available to hire for private events.
