Lights, Camera, Action exhibition at Blenheim Palace

Date Posted: 26/11/2012

Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire will open for the new season on 9th February with its latest exhibition, Lights, Camera, Action, which runs until 1st April.

The palace has played host to many television and film crews over the years, and the exhibition will showcase several aspects of the building and grounds which have appeared for audiences on screen.

The most recent productions which have involved Blenheim Palace include Gulliver’s Travels (2010), The Young Victoria (2008), and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007).

Guests can also see the location for films Entrapment (1999) and Hamlet (1996). Television appearances include BBC’s Climbing Britain, ITV’s Lewis, and various television advertisements.

Lights, Camera, Action will highlight the connections between palace and film, which will vary from the palace itself as centre stage to a shot of a staircase or part of the maze.

Group visitors will be able to experience related activities, tours and workshops during half-term week and weekends throughout the duration of the exhibition.

The exhibition is located inside Blenheim Palace, as well as the east courtyard visitor centre and the Pleasure Gardens.

Group rates are available for parties of 15 or more.
