Providing a modern day exploration of one of the most momentous days in history, Portsmouth attractions the D-Day Museum and Spinnaker Tower, have teamed up to offer a joint ticket for groups.

Now available for group travel organisers to book for 2013 and 2014, adult parties can enjoy the joint experience for £9.90 per person.

Commemorating the historic D-Day landings

Located in Southsea, the D-Day Museum provides insight into Operation Overlord from its origins in the dark days of 1940 to D-Day four years later.

On 6th June 1944 160,000 troops began their journey from Portsmouth heading for the English Channel towards Normandy in the largest amphibious invasion in history.

As the headquarters for the troops heading for Sword Beach on the Normandy coast, Portsmouth played a key role in the historic invasion and the D-Day Museum highlights the stories of the brave soldiers who played a part in the historic D-Day landings.

Views across Portsmouth

The joint ticket enables groups to couple their visit to the D-Day Museum with a trip up the iconic Spinnaker Tower.

The 170-metre-high tower offers 350-degree panoramic views, overlooking the city of Portsmouth and its bustling harbour.

From the top of the Spinnaker Tower, groups will be able to pinpoint the landmarks, coastline and berthing points that became crucial during the D-Day campaign.
