John Napier to unveil first major exhibition

This November, Eastbourne will host Stages, a show created by acclaimed set and costume designer John Napier.

From 29th November to 30th January 2016, Towner Art Gallery in Eastbourne will host Stages, an exhibition created by, and showcasing the work of, West End and Broadway set and costume designer John Napier.

Napier has designed multi-award winning sets and costumes for some of theatre’s most iconic shows. He was the brains behind the horses in Equus, the barricades in Les Misérables, the helicopter in Miss Saigon, the outsize junkyard in Cats, and the Starlight Express.

The exhibition contains costume designs, 3D pieces based on Napier’s theatre work, and sculptures created in parallel with his career.

Pre-booked groups of ten or more will be be eligible for discounted admission rates.
