If you’re looking for some ideas for 2013 group itineraries, Historic Royal Palaces has some new tour and exhibition suggestions.

At Kensington Palace, Modern Royal Dress, a new temporary exhibition, tells the story of the monarchy in the 20th century using costumes from the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection.

Opening on 22nd June and set within the newly opened Piggott Galleries, the display will use photographs and film footage to uncover stories of young royals at the palace, not least the story of the arrival of royal newlyweds, The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge.

From 24th May at the Tower of London (pictured), group travel organisers can learn the story of the Royal Mint. The new area will open up number 2a Mint Street and tell the history of the Mint at the tower, where it was situated for over 500 years.

New from 27th March at Hampton Court Palace, the Secrets of the Royal Bedchamber will reveal not only the extraordinary bizarre rituals of the Stuart and Hanoverian court but also seven of its most rare state beds.

Kew Palace opens on 29th March and will be offering a joint ticket for Kew Gardens and Kew Palace to groups, with guided tours of the Royal Kitchens available to book.
