Groups will be able to see views out across the city and surrounding countryside from the platform, which is due to open to the public in October.
It has been also been revealed that the new visitor attraction will be illustrated by specially commissioned animations and comic strips.

A graphic installation or comic strip will be placed on the first floor, and the walls of the stairwell up to the viewing platform will also be decorated.

The first and second floors of the new tower will be home to short animated films, which visitors can watch to learn more about the castle.

High Life Highland will operate the new attraction. Its chief executive Ian Murray explained: “I am very pleased to see these final contracts going out as the castle viewpoint gets ready for its first visitors.

“They will provide some background information and entertainment for those waiting to see the view, and an opportunity to take a break from climbing the stairs to the top.

“Our staff at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery are looking forward to managing the site and we are working with Highland Council to plan for special opportunities for local people to see the spectacular views in the autumn.

“I am sure the stunning panoramic view when you reach the top will be very popular with visitors and locals alike.”

The artworks will cost up to £30,000.
